Book Review: Dean Koontz Sole Survivor

Since I don’t read or watch many thrillers, listening to an audio book in this category is a departure. In the vein of “things aren’t always what they seem”, this book offers an alternative explanation for things we struggle with every day.

*Spoilers* Taking place over just two days, the book offers explanations of common questions about how a plane would crash to what are we all here for. Crafting an story about advancing human understanding connecting it with spirituality. While I found the story compelling, like many books, once you get past a certain point, you want to find out the rest. about two-thirds of the way I figured it out. Except for one part, that was pretty weird.

It was a pretty quick listen since I listen in the car and while running/biking. The mono-tone, over dramatic reader was tough at first, but then I got used to it and started hearing his slight tone changes. Good book, but not great, the concept can be explained in 1 sentence and the plot in a few more.
